Honeydew Kisses PDF Patterns - Ocotillo + Marina

Ocotillo

Greetings sewing friends! I'm so (sew) excited to share with you two of the latest patterns by Honeydew Kisses. First up is the "Ocotillo" leotard or swimsuit pattern.

This sweet, versatile pdf pattern comes with sizes 6 months to 12 years included. Layered pattern pieces for grading and printing ease. Plus, you can choose from a whole range of options when sewing this stunning pattern!

Dress

Leotard

Swimsuit

Flutters

Scoop back

Scoop back with bow ties

Racer back

Short, 3/4, long or sleeveless sleeve options

Tulle Skirt

Circle skirt

Separate bloomers

High waisted bloomers

Whilst a serger (overlocker) is helpful when sewing knit fabric, it is not essential for sewing this pattern. Some skill in sewing knit fabric is ideal when whipping up an Ocotillo and I would personally rate it as an intermediate sew.

Ocotillo looks extra sweet with an Agave bow (free with code when you join the Facebook fan group.)

My version is sewn in swim lycra with an extra layer of stretch tulle over the thigh length skirt. I opted for the racer back with added flutters and I just ADORE the outcome!

Marina

Now, now, every little girl needs a sailor dress in her wardrobe at some point! On that note, Honeydew Kisses "Marina" has got you covered!

This vintage inspired number is a wrap-around dress, closing at the front with two buttons or snaps (the other two buttons are all for show!)

There are two collar options, classic square (sailor) or rounded. Sew with short sleeves or sleeveless. Sizes included are 6 months to 12 years (so even the older girls can be sailor-adorable too!)

I made my own matching piping to add on the collar, lace or ric-rac etc would also look stunning!

I personally really love buttons, so the opportunity to feature gorgeous buttons is welcome.......I am aware others may not share my love affair, so snaps are a great alternative.
